Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress from America. Since the mid 80s Angela Evelyn has appeared in television and film. Her work has been recognized with several awards, among them sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt and Uncle in New York New York. At the age of Bassett was around five the family moved to St. Petersburg, Florida to live with their mother who had divorced from their father. Bassett chose to become an actor after watching the stage play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. Yale University New Haven Connecticut in which she graduated with her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). She dated Courtney B. Vance, an actress who was also at Yale and they married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American Studies) in 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast in the lead role of Ramonda for the action adventure movie, i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
