Ward was the first child born to MonroeLouisianaon 15 April 1976. Ward attended Monroe Christian School, a Christian private school for children. She attended Ouachita High School for her second year of studies. But, she transferred into River Oaks High School after the summer. She was a student at Northeast Louisiana University briefly after graduation. Ward, then 13, began modeling after she left the school. She moved into New York to pursue this profession. Her acting career began a few more years further down the line. In the 1970s, she first appeared in an uncredited part in the soap-opera All My Children and was later cast in the short-lived NBC Prime-time teen drama Malibu Shores. Ward got her first lead performance on the Sunset Beach daytime soap opera, where she played the virginal Meg Cummings. In 1999, she began a career in movies in the role of Brittany Foster the psychotic character in the horror film The In Crowd. In theaters the film was a failure, but enjoyed an initial success on both DVD and cable. Ward was a supporting character on the show Shallow Hal the following year. She has also acted in several other direct-to DVD films and made guest appearances on various television shows including Friends. The role as Chloe Kmet was hers in 2009 in which she was the mother of a teenage girl in the ABC Family drama Make It or Break It. Her personal life includes a relationship with director David C. Robinson. They have one son named Cameron.
